The Power of Social Interest - Alfred Adler
All religions were based on the idea of social interest: “Love thy neighbor.” In our time, some people may doubt it; some may say, “Why should I love my neighbor?” But sometime in the future, people will not discuss it because it will have become natural, it will emanate automatically, and the miseries of our time, of war and unemployment, for instance, will not be possible anymore. All our suffering and pain will disappear when we reach the level where we no longer question the value of social interest.
